Choke StoveTube Fitting

I recently installed a rebuilt carburetor on my 50 Deluxe 8. I had never noticed on the old carburetor that the threaded part of the nipple where the choke stove tube attaches to the carb housing had broken off. The tube had been attached via a piece of rubber hose and clamps and looked legit. 🤷‍♂️ I would prefer to properly connect the tube to the new carburetor, so I'm wondering if anyone who has replaced the stove tube on their car has found a source where the part(s) can be purchased or if they were able to create their own replacement part(s) for the fix. I started my own search for usable substitute parts, but hit a snag right out of the gate trying to find the correct size fitting for the attachment to the carb. I thought I had it with what looked like the correct size compression fitting, only to find that the threads on the carb nipple were finer that the compression fitting I intended to use.

Any help/advice is appreciated.

I didn't realize you can actually see the old carb - still installed - with the hose and clamps in the background! 😆

I don't know the size offhand, but that is not important.

Go to your combination wrenches and find the open end that fits over the quill on the carburetor. That is your stud size. Next go to a catalogue like McMaster-Carr or an old time auto or marine parts place that still has that stuff and find the finest threaded fitting.

Better yet, go to your junk drawer and find a nut that screws on.

It is a standard thread such as 7/16-20, 1/2-20 and maybe even 3/8-24. I made those things up using a Lawson Products assortment and some tubing, but that was a long time ago.

I replaced my whole choke tube, rotted off inside the manifold, and if I recall it's just 1/4" tube compression fitting. I can go look, if needed. I did the same on the Caddy. That was 4 bbl but chokes are the same. You can get at almost any parts, hardware, or big box. Nothing special.
It's a std flat thread. Will be a 3/8 or 7/16 brass female nut likely.
You can do away and convert to electric choke also.

Found an old stock part at Max Merritt. Job done! I was lucky - the tube/sleeve that runs through the manifold, was still intact.
