Maarten,
Mid-Atlantic Packards advertises that they make wiring harnesses for '27 to '53 Packards. Their info is: Mid-Atlantic Packards 15604 Old Hancock Rd. NE, Cumberland MD 21502 (240) 362-7705 Contact: Dale Mease measey@atlanticbb.net I'm restoring a '48 Custom 8 and will probably go with a harness from these people. These harnesses are not very complicated (by today's standards) and I would suspect that making one would not be all that difficult...but I suspect that you'll save a lot of time and trouble by buying one. Mike

G'day Maarten,
Congratulations on your Packard purchase and to PackardInfo. Concerning wiring harnesses these are available from a number of specialist suppliers, I'm sure someone will be along soon who can tell you who. Concerning Packard parts in general, good sources are the major vendors Max Merritt or Kanter or look in the Packard Directory here on PackardInfo and there's always eBay. Lastly, I invite you to include your Packard in the Packard Owner's Registry here on PackardInfo.

Slight correction...I see that Mid-Atlantic Packards markets these harnesses for Harnesses Unlimited. The cost of the harnesses from Mid-Atlantic is no more than buying direct from H.U. but Mid-Atlantic gets a slight commission for their regional club...nice.
If you need engine parts Feltz Terrill is a good source: 1000 County Road 454 De Leon, Texas 76444 254-893-2610 Feltz is an outstanding individual and is a wealth of Packard engine information. Do you have a copy of The Packard Source List? James Hill sells them for US$6.00. The list contains several pages of information about where to obtain Packard parts and services. G'Day, Mal,
I usually just read the posts and suck up the info...but in this case I just happen to be doing the same thing on the same year auto. Do Packard engines run backwards south of the Equator? Mike
