I don't know the seller and am just curious to why these cars haven't hit their stride in value IMO. To me this car is totally worth the $17K but I bet it won't make it there.

Mainly because Packard people have always wanted to get something for nothing.

A most attractive 400. I hope it doesn't catch fire before it's sold. Note that the battery disconnect is on the hot side and very close to the hold down bracket. Ouch!

This "Four-Hundred" was formerly in my collection. I purchased it from Robert Fisher in Gainesville, FL who,I believe, was the son of the original owner, George Fisher. Mr. Fisher purchased the car new from Shreeveport Packard. The car was originally delivered in the KN scheme: Topaz and Agate with an interior of white leather and copper cloth--not my favorite colors. I was thrilled when I learned that a successive owner introduced a yellow and white jade scheme. Attached is a photo of the car on the day I drove it home, December 31, 1991. It made it back to Hahira, GA with no issues...but it drove like an old pick up truck! I sold the car to Valdosta State University Professor Dennis Boygo. I did get to see it once in its new paint scheme at a Florida Packard Club show in Sarasota, FL. The work appeared to be very professional as I recall.
