No interesting patterns but I went with the carpet Dwight Heinmuller sells. It's Karastan? house carpet in the correct 56 color but is dense -- much thicker than the typical auto carpet. With the extra foam pad under, almost what I would call plush. Am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

I have thought that for a 50's car, some of the GM carpet with the metallic thread (think Pontiac) would look pretty sharp.

Perhaps, if were lucky... very lucky... Flackmistress may chime in with some recommendations and observations brought from travels abroad concerning the finest tapestries and rugs that might be fit for transformation into auto floor coverage.

Nicely crafted Coco mats are attractive additions to modern automobiles, especially those made in Europe. May not compliment our Packards, but I like them.
