Vintage Tires

When I bought my '49 Packard the other week, the guy I bought it from asked me if I wanted a bunch of old vintage tires. Maybe one or two might be for my own car, the others for various other vintage vehicles he had already sold (1933 DeSoto for one). I haven't had much luck on the internet so I wondered...is there a market for selling these tires off or are they just junk? Some of them are worn. Others look like they were never used. I also have some rims and the ones that aren't for my '49 will be sold off.

If they are over 5 years old they are junk or display only. By that I mean, if he had a set of factory original tires you might put them on a museum piece that was never driven.

By the way I have done this, I recently sold a 1966 Canadian model VW 1200 Standard. Along with it went a set of VW Golden Miler tires. These were tires sold in Canada by VW dealers with the VW emblem on them, last available in the 70s. I also gave him a spare set of wheels so he can have a new set of radials for driving and the VW Golden Milers to put on for shows.

Sounds like it would be more trouble than they are worth. Thanks for the info!
