I just got off the phone with a car shop in Chicago who has a double barn find. A 1955 two tone supper clipper 5542-4460 paint codes match.

He also has a 48 Convertible. He said he will accept any Reasonable offer.

yea, I am passing on the Mayfair since the paint is not origninal. The guy just called me back, he is trying to make it a package deal to me. I would love the convertible but my funds are thin at the moment, and I have been out of work since June.

If his price is below what is left in the bank, Food lines here I come.

I keep thinking about it, maybe its time to take the plunge.
