My 1937 120 coupe anti theft cable from the ignition to the coil smokes at one of the bends when the key is on. I want to pull the switch out of the dash to repair the wire in the cable. I have taken both the nuts off that hold the switch to the back side of the dash board, but I can not get the switch to move any at all. Does anyone know what holds this switch in an what is the proper way to remove it? I have gleaned so much from this site already, I am anxious to get some help from the men who own one. Thanks

G'day starfrank,
See you've been a PackardInfo member for quite some time but first post, so , and for including your '37 One Twenty Business Coupe in the Packard Owner's Registry.

I'm sure someone will along soon(Flackmaster?) who can answer your question.
