1937 Packard 120c
i am not a mechanic, not even a shade tree one... so
i replaced my master cylinder, which was surprisingly easy and straight forward. bled lines in correct order and took out today for test drive. very little play in brake compared to before. Manual says 1/4-1/2" play, which i have. but is very tight compared to loosy goosey brake action before.
PROBLEM:
at low speed, applied brakes slowly and not only stopped quickly but VERY noisily and scary sounding! never happened before. so is there still air in the lines or ??
thanks
P-blue

Pull each drum and inspect. You could have noise from a failed component that has nothing to do with your bleeding.

Good Morning...The last time that sort of noise happened in one of my cars, it was a broken break spring. My Grand Daughter and I replaced it and all has been well...Ernie in Arizona
