These are the "Right Hand" Gear Pitch Angle with the Slotted/Pinned Shaft Attachment

-Brass Reproductions are more durable than the original "pot metal" ones

-Check your regulator gears visually to verify the pitch angle relative to the "up/down" orientation in the photos. The pitch angle fits/corresponds to the worm drive pitch angle so the two gears need to be matched accordingly. Once paired, the gearsets can be installed in the Left or Right mechanism.

-The original design had Left/Right so that a passenger would crank the handle symmetrically in the same direction...this was proven to be a subtle irrelevant feature to owners and as the original pot metal gears began to fail in the 40's-60's, mechanics often scabbed the entire regulator from a salvage yard parts car and retrofitted Lefts onto both R/L sides and vice versa...whatever was available to make the windwing work again...no one is the wiser and the rotation direction is a nuanced "gift" from someone in Packard marketing who didn't make the cut.
