Try hitting the problem studs with PB Blaster, really soaking them. Then using your air compressor, hit the liquid PB Blaster with a blast of air, as high a pressure as your rig will develop in order to force it in around the studs. Let it sit for an hour and try the hoist again. I've used that techinque several times on stubborn bolts and it usually works. The rust is holding the head to the studs. Good luck.
