Sounds like you just confirmed what was said, it's a unique spring to Packard. Were it me, if I didn't want to wait for Egge I'd just buy what I need from Kanters or Max, or take Ross up on his offer.

But if you want to pursue it, have you tried Century Spring (Division of MW Industries)? They have perhaps the largest inventory of springs worldwide, and I've both bought from their inventory and had them quote on custom manufacture of special springs.
