Worked for me. You do have to use the harmonic balancer from the 327 though. I used solid lifters, and had the cam reground to a mild street grind. The rods from the 327 will have to be reused as well. Pistons are the same size.

The 327 crank worked fine for me. I had it ground before reusing. Forgot to mention, you have to use the 327 cam, not the 288 version.

Beginning with the 22nd series all the engines had a common bore, 3-1/2 inches, and this remained the case thru 1954 with the sole exception of the "359" engine which was 3-9/16.

Hi all, Sorry for the confusion. The bores are all 3.5 inch. I mentioned the 60 thou oversize as a slight increase in displacement available with regard to piston replacement sizes from the normal suppliers. Best regards PT
