Tim,
That's a bit of news that cuts down on the worry about how it should be done and line widths. I prefer thinner stripes and was thinking about 2 mm for the body and two stripes on the wheels of 3 and 2 mm. The wife would like to see a stripe on each fender in the raised area at the outside edge and the main body of the fender. We are thinking of a gold or gold bronze color.

My 32 902 still has the remains of the original pinstripe, should I redo it or leave it original? The rest of the car is still fully original.

If you intend to leave the vehicle fully as found original, I wouldn't touch the striping (or anything else for that matter). But I would carefully photodocument the striping for future reference. There is a thread on the PAC forum titled "Original Detail Features" and that would be a preferred place to post those photos.

Interesting photo of the wheel. If i was a betting man i would say the 2 strips r diff colors.

Thanks for the additional inputs. I agree with Packardberry that the wheel seems to have two different colors of striping on them.
BDC could you please take some photos of your 902 striping and measure the width of the line?

Marston, I sure can do. Any specific areas you are interested in? A lot of the pin striping has been polished away over the 5 decades of showing the car.

I would like to see photos of areas where there is a change in direction e.g. the point of the arrow on the hood for example. Measurements as to the distance from the a rise in the belt would be nice too,
Does your car still have the original interior?

A few more factory photos, courtesy of the Detroit Public Library Archives, and a link to a '32 with claimed original paint / pin striping.
