Marathon. ca 1911-22. Nashville TN. Mostly an 'assembled' car. Factory still standing and turned into a mueseum/office complex/ tourist site. I've visited the site on a few occasions and saw some Marathon cars in the resto shop.

I didn't know about those other cars. Thanks for the tip.
The Mcewen is especialy interesting. Was it built in Nashville or McEwen Tn????? McEwen is a small town about 20 miles from here That i used to visit quite often.

Here's a real obscurity. Green Egg motorcycle. ca. teens or 20's. Very little is know about these. Apparently a kit sold in DIY form (or maybe already completed) and perhaps sold at Western Auto stores or similar such establishments.
Just something to keep in mind as u do other research. I've Googled it several times and nothing hits.

Mr. Peabody tells me that the president of Greenville Metal Products (which was actually the company's name before it was changed to "Steel Car" in 1914) was Frank Fay and that the Empire 20 was named the Fay in his honor. Was the Fay, then, a separate or another model of the Empire? BTW, I've since edited my previous post to reflect the plant's name change, plus its closing and subsequent demolition - another victim of NAFTA and the global economy.
