I also have a non-adjustable snubber here but I'm not sure of the year although I believe it's from a 1940 110 or it might have been from my 1939 Six. Can anyone identify it?

As I remember reading in various places the first version such as Steele has repro'd was apparently sometimes inadequate if there were tolerances in the mounts that resulted in it not being tight enough to do much good or in other cases placed the mounts under too much pressure which let excess normal vibration be transmitted and felt in the car. In some cars it was also found to be somewhat weak and prone to cracking or separating into two pieces at the rubber vulcanizing hence the redesign to the stronger and adjustable version.
