Thanks for that tip. I put anti friction tape on all of the clips and it really seems to have snugged it up.

Nice to see a decent dog on here...gettin' tired of that darn cat getting all the attention...
And as for repurposing the bruised hubcap, possibly a "dog dish", once properly cleaned. ...Never heard of a "cat dish" hubcap? gee, I wonder why...
