The number C301141 is within the range of 1940 Serial Numbes for a 1940 120 engine.

As Kev suggests identifying the front of the car would be helpful. There's a fair visual difference between the front ends of 1939 and 1940 120's. A photo of the front of your Packard would be helpful.
