I don't use plastigauge because I'm not an amateur. A dial bore gauge is the only way to measure bearing clearances. I've built a few motors in my time (wrapping up a 394 stroker build right now) and there's nothing special about a packard other than maybe the rarity. The motor is locked up tighter than dick's hatband with what I can only describe as mounds of something filling the oil pan, as best I can tell looking thru the dipstick tube with a camera. I will continue on until I find suitable bearing at a suitable price. If I find/use something suitable I might post back here and let yall know. Thank you for the bearing width.

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

If you download the Specifications section of the service manual, literature archive, it gives some bearing dimensions.

Where are you at? If that motor is super tight you may be better off just getting a different motor. Personal project, or for a customer?

Says these bearings fit the 352 Clipper engine. Doesn't list size, (std., .010, etc.). If you need for 374, maybe contact KING. PB

The link is far to long to post raw! Please the Link icon and link to some text rather than posting the link directly. Even on my PC I can't see it all and now the entire page is that way making it totally unreadable.
