All the chassis and body parts for the '58 Packard are essentially the same a Studebaker. '58 was the first year with the one piece driveshaft. Your car is the 120.5" wheelbase Y-body sedan, shared with the President. You might check to see if the driveshaft interchanges with '58 and later Hawks, also built on the same chassis frame.

The Delco number for a Studebaker /Packard 289 starter motor from 1956 thru part of 1961 is 1107651 for automatic transmission for the manual transmission it is 1107650. This is the number on the red Delco tag on the starter motor. These numbers are in the shop manual for 56 Studebaker and 57 Packard
The part manual part number is 1539580 auto transmission same part number thru 1961.
Motors auto repair manual also lists the same numbers for all starters for V8 from 56 thru 1960 1107651 and 1107650
