I get people coming up to my front door (I live on a main road) and asking if my '63 Chevy II is for sale. I say no, then hear their story, they want to buy it to build a rod, I sak what they think it is worth, they say, "well, I was hoping you'd want to sell it for around $2,500, cause I have to build a rat motor, a trans, front end, interior, stereo system, blah, blah, blah.
At this point I close the door. It's a 50,000 mile original car that I had some rust repair, new front fenders and paint 28 years ago (I bought the car in 1980 for $100 with 39,000 miles on it)
And they leave notes on it. I just throw them away, I know the above story is about to repeat itself.
