I had intended to show some of my NEW woodwork, - undoubtably the first new parts on the car since the Truman administration. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to taking the photos, and now I am off the some istan for the next 6 months, so no updates will be forthcoming. I have just begun to rebuild the wood, as preparations and spending time with the family took precedence.

I have rebuilt the driver side rear pilar, and some of the window surround. The center pillar is about half complete, after having spent the better part of two hours removing it very carefully, as to attempt to retain a pattern. In doing this, I discovered that the two sides are identical, not mirrored, so when I get ready to do the other side, full on demolition!

As I predicted, the wood work just takes a band saw and patience...,

I hope to spend some good quality time with the old girl in Novemberish when I get pack. I will check the site often, so my time away will not be squandered.

Little to report.., I am back from my deployment, and with spring here, I hope to spend more time in the garage. I have a bunch of Ash drying. I say a bunch as this will be a large, "trial and error" experiment"

Wish me luck.

I did get a Pennsylvania judge to declare the car mine, so tomorrow, I shall get it retitled for the first time since my Grandfater's uncle did so in 1937.

Awesome that you got it re-titled! I was lucky, mine came with a title.

Saw you were deployed to Istanbul- are you supply?

Welcome back from deployment.

It may not look like much, but this represents the first new parts on the car since it was taken off the road in 1948..,

I am dragging the elephant behind me, and I am looking for a spit, the eating, however, will take some time!!

Grand trumpets and much excitement!! I took the week off in an attempt to separate my chassis and body. This I have completed in two VERY long days, (unassisted). I have managed to remove the body with the entire drivetrain intact. I could not figure out how to get the steering wheel off, so I removed the body around this as well. Although that is not something that I would recommend!
