Here are some picts from a 54. B&W photos are mine but the color engine photos showing compressor are not and don't know whose car or to credit.

Note the exterior scoops have a very unique shape. Very pointed at the top and rear. Cadillac was very much rounder all over. Unknown what an aftermarket would look like. Also of interest are the package shelf vents. These are the flat straight forward neck freezer style vs the transparent tube over the rear window others have seen.
