The turntable looks interesting. For mid fifties, that looks very compact. Looks like rollers under the rails. I wonder what kind and size motor they used to rotate it?
Is this building still standing in Detroit?

I wonder what kind and size motor they used to rotate it?
Not much of a motor required, if any. Ever push your car around the garage on dollys? Just a one-handed push is all that's needed. A railroad turntable from the steam locomotive era that rotated a 30-40? ton locomotive and tender used electric motors in the 20 hp range.
