Thanks JW; my apologies to JD in KC, thanks for the model correction. Shouldn't post too early before the caffeine kicks in and mind goes into gear.

1932 901 sedan looks nice in pictures but the data plate calls is a sedan but the car seems to be like a formal sedan but that wasn't offered in 32. I'm not familiar enough with 32's to really say what it is. Maybe someone else can shine some light on this one:
minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/5082972073.html 1938 super eight (has been on here before) stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/5082367375.html 1938 (advertised as a 120 super eight) most likely an eight: losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/5082471781.html

Hi BDC
In the case of this '32 901 sedan, the saying a neighbor's father used to remind his wife applies: "Powder 'n paint make ya what ya ain't". It's just a regular 901, Body No. 503 sedan that has been 'formalized' to confer on it a more 'elegance' look with blanked-in quarter windows, padded vinyl top covering and landau bars. The telltale it didn't come from the factory that way are the sharp, right-angle corners on the upper door frame and lower top quarter where the C-pillar meets the belt-molding. When building the true formal sedan, Packard always rounded and filleted those features for a properly-designed appearance, just as they did for the club sedan which usually shared components with it. A few more in your state, in far less nice condition but worthy of project or parts to save others: A '36 120 sedan, dual sidemount front fenders: easttexas.craigslist.org/cto/5025819801.html A rare'41 110 two door sedan project, looks solid: dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5058647943.html A '48 Eight Deluxe two door, project/parts: killeen.craigslist.org/cto/5044347861.html A '53 Clipper Deluxe sedan, starter project: dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/5053698035.html Steve

Regarding the 32 901, assuming that what we see now was there in 1997 it's hard to conceive that the car won an AACA National First, what with the nonauthentic body and interior work, leather spring gaiters, modern ignition wires, and a host of other details. And the restoration surely has not stood the test of time.
