The following pic is typical of all modern production disk brake set ups i've encounterd.
The green line is the radial centre line of the rotor. The yellow line shows the support area of the caliper-stay relative to the caliper. Note how the caliper-stay anchors the caliper at the CENTRE LINE of the rotor. NOT JUST way off to one side. Attach file: (41.05 KB)

Just can't stay away

Hello,
I now have 11 inch (10.938) rotors on my 1956 Patrician. I used the same procedure to develope the adapter plates as I did for the 10.5 rotors. The rotors are married to the back of original hubs. The calipers are now located to the rear to give a better route for the brake line. Front disc brakes make the car a pleasure to drive. Jerry
