The original plastic is more "marbled" ( I recall seeing anall- original 180), but it still seems a fine value

When you say "more marbled" do you mean the yellow part or the wood grain part. Is it acceptable the way it is?

The car is definitely a legitimate 180. You can't fake those the same way as convertibles. But heck, if you want a value there is a 35 eight phaeton for $69 grand. The only thing I don't like is the color - red. But it's a genuine car because it is on the small chassis. And a lot cheaper to run I might add.
The prices people are expecting for some of these cars is nuts. It might be good for restoration shops, but it's not a hobby when everybody thinks they are going to make a fortune.
