No pictures today as pretty much every was in an area where pictures are hard to take.
But I got the horns remounted underneath. The are mounted on the inside of the front frame rails pointed down. So completely hidden from view. But very loud. 📣📣📣 Got all the electrical in the front hooked back up and everything re-wire tied out of the way. Also reinstalled the left side inner fender. Now I can move towards the back. I still need to drill the holes for the rumbleseat steps and strip and paint that last fender. Also I need to finish the small alteration where the rockers stick out a little bit into the wheelwell. I think these 36 rockers are about 1/2 longer than the 37 ones atthe very bottom rear corner. So a pie cut and a few tack wells should address that.

Lots of stripping, priming and painting this evening. The rear mud guards have seen better days, but they will do for now.

Transferring the rumble seat step hole positions from the old fender to this sedan fender. I made a paper and tape template from the old fender using three of the fender to body mounting slots as my alignment points.

Good job! Was the step a part of the rumble seat package or an accessory to be added separately back in the day? Do these steps require any kind or reinforcement underneath?

They came with two steps if the model came with a rumble seat. A third step was an option. It mounted off one of the rear bumper bolts. That extra step is preferred, otherwise the bumper ends up being the first step.
There are reinforcement plates that bolt in underneath. 37 was the last year for a rumble seat. The only juniors bodies that had them were them convertible coupe and sport coupe.

Fenders, running boards, lights, rumble seat steps and various bracketry all painted in rattle can black to hold them until the real body work begins. Also replaced all the hardward that holds all the above items. Before it was a hodgepodge of all old, new, and whatever was sitting around in a foldgers coffee cans. All replaced with new grade 5 zinc plated fasterners. Bolts, nuts ,washers, lock washers, etc. Out of a bag of 100 fender washers, I have 4 left.

Nice quality work. Do it right... Is black going to be the color? I think a dark color would show the contours and styling quite nicely.
