Took the Packard, and Kath, for an easy 31 mile round trip run to Fitzroy Falls today. Just to give the old girl, the Packard not Kath, some exercise. Photo was taken in our daughters backyard and had hoped to get a good photo of the Packard at the end of autumn. However left it too late as most of the trees leaves have either turned brown or fallen. Besides it's Winter now! Second photo, my daughters taken a couple of weeks ago, is the colour of foliage I'd hoped to capture.

Mal, I just noticed how close the Egyptian hood ornament came to being damaged. A bit of good luck there!
It is summer in Austin, hot and humid. The 115C Six is enjoying its new owner and life in Belgium. Only the Model A Roadster Hot Rod is left. May sell it too. We shall see. We are looking forward to the move back to Santa Fe. It is over 7,000 ft. above sea level, with little humidity, and moderate temps. House in Austin does not want us to leave. Numerous AC problems crept up and needed to be fixed. Plus, no offers after six weeks. I'll keep you and others posted on the progress of the move. Take care.

John,
You're right, very fortunate indeed that the "Egyptian" survived without damage. You're certainly thinning the herd, pity, I was looking forward to ride in the rod if I ever dropped in! Good luck with the house sale and the move to Santa Fe.

Your autumn leaves look lovely Mal, we lost almost all of ours in a storm several weeks ago, dreary bare branches down here now. I love how your car's colour really complements the autumn colours; beautiful tones from opposite sides of the colour wheel.

John,
"your car's colour really complements the autumn colours; beautiful tones from opposite sides of the colour wheel." Sounds almost poetry like. Wish I could convey the sorts of images your words describe.

Sunday 1st July, 2018
Advised about a week ago of a local car show and thought it a good opportunity to give the "Old Girl" some exercise today. Being it was 20 miles away, that qualifies as local in the Southern Highlands, as well as a good run. It was a Charity Car display Day organised by the Bentley Drivers Club and held on a property of one of their members. That member has 2 sheds mostly full of cars although there was also a double decker bus, a hydroplane and 2 Wirraway aircraft. Maybe all up about 40 vehicles and stuff. The car show probably had 120+ vehicles ranging from Rollers to Austin Sevens. Packard performed well with no issues. Family also came along being my daughter and her family, who aren't into cars but, enjoyed the event nevertheless. Hi Mal
What a fine family outing, your Eight added to the great variety. The RR town car is a New Phantom (I) Salamanca, going out on a coachbuilder identification limb, Rolls-Royce Custom Coach Works. The host certainly has an eclectic collection. everything from a '64 Studebaker Daytona convertible (702 built) to a RR Phantom V limousine, but no Packard?. The absolute prize rarity is the Weymann-bodied Bentley 8 Litre touring under restoration, one of only 100 built altogether. Steve

Even if your kids are not into cars and such good to see they enjoy time with grandpap or what ever they call you. All of you will remember this time together. I like the boat.
