Let the ride decide, the production quality of the first short add is remarkable. The clarity of style provides the impression of an educational film. Today's adds are overfraught with much too much impressions, colors, information, rhinestones, gimmicks, sounds, emotions, features, confetti, ... and with that they are arbitrarily interchangeable.

Yes, the Pampa news article covered Dave McGahey's 1938 Packard. My cousin said that he bought and sold many cars.

Interesting article about air-conditioning in long haul bus service. Public transportation enjoyed air-conditioning first in Pullman brand dining cars, then complete trains from the early 1930s.

You responded that you lived in Paris. Truly a multi-faceted city.

In some places putting a person on ice means to hide them. In others it means to kill them but in this case, I guess if the dearly departed rides in the back of that hearse laying inches above a layer of cracked ice there is a whole new meaning to the phrase.

Wonder what the cost comparison of the vehicles might be with the Henney being on a Packard chassis. Both were built in the same time frame but the Henney has a real refrigerated AC system under the floor even if it was a repackaged commercial unit vs the unit on a Buick chassis with cold air relying on a layer of cracked ice. Also be interesting to know the weight difference and how much ice is needed before each use.

Not to sure if this would be of any interest, fund it in Service Letter Vol 16 No 18, Sept. 15 1942.
