JW,

Ross is working on a carpet for me since he has the patterns. But I think it will be similar to yours, only in blue.

Windlace has arrived from PerfectFit. I think the color is going to be perfect given the color of the exterior, and the darker color of the seats.

Its all in the details. Windlace means your getting closer to the end destination. Keep the observer's eyes moving is a secret shared with me previously. Can't wait to see her in person.

Window Channel came in. Except I should have order 2x 96" pieces and 2x 72" pieces is not enough. Damn.

So I transfered the channel retainer from the old channel to the new one. Original Packard used those industrial staples. I just used some aluminum rivets. The head of the rivet is below the surface of the felt, so no contact with the glass. With the rear channels made up, I went ahead and installed the rear windows. I then reinstalled the door lock control rods, and then applied the dynamat style insulation to the doors.

Then the original door panels went on. They appear white in the picture, but are actually lite blue.

Also I need to find more door panel clips. At least half of my original one are unusable. Then are broken due to rust. So I had enough for the rear doors (skipping a few holes). But dont have any left over for the front panels.

Worked up your carpet using my own 54 Clipper Deluxe for a nice fit. As a bonus, kept the scissors out and made a dark green set for my car.

Carpet is standing up next to the clutch pedal as I did not cut a hole for that in your set.

Is that the "Cup Holder" accessory that was mentioned in the Packard Accessory Catalogue" and would that be the same one for the V8s?

Jim, neat accessory, but it will probably not work on the V-8s. The Contour Packards (51-54) had a drawer that moved in and out as a glove box.
