Well the owner called the mechanic and stated he would not EVEN CONSIDER less than 20 Grand for the car-obviously that puts it out of the ballpark for me. I think at 10K if the car was running and running well would be a find but if its not to be its not to be.

If no one else is interested I would certainly appreciate the contact info to buy the car.I have always wanted this model to restore.I have the ability to do most of it myself.So if no other takers and if the auto is for sale I would appreciate it!

Well here is the number for the repair shop its at- Ike's auto repair 610-647-8640. There located on 1700 Lancaster ave .Talk to John he's very nice and like I said he let me look all over the car. Its definitley solid as regards to the body, of course the mechanical condition is unknown. Maybe the two of you can talk this owner into reality-like I said at 20K thats a deal breaker for me.

Heck if condos sell in NYC starting at $1.2 million what is an extra $10 grand within a $300,000 restoration?

I was in the corporate world for 20 years and I guarantee there is a discontinuity between salaries and merit in those places.

As long as you don't care about the budget pay anything.

Unfortunately I am a working man and do not have unlimited funds; if I did that 38 would probably be in my driveway today. Anywho I was out on patrol on the main line west today, passed by Ike's and the car was gone-hopefully its inside somewhere or better yet on its way to a top-flight resto shop like Hiburnia or White post.

Did you ever get ahold of the owner?
