I've said it before, and I'll say it again, people watch these forums to see what we need, and then put said want on eBay....

If they could do the next step and post a link to their item in the thread...wouldn't that be convenient.

Then they would give themselves away, and I don't think they want to do that.

On that note, if anyone's listening, I need a '36 and newer V12 Packard engine and trans, preferably as complete as possible, with a "Buy It Now" price of less than $500, please!

Thanks for the e-Bay tip Clipper 47. I just bought the heat shield for my 48 Custom 8 Club Sedan.

James, It wasn't meant to be a "tip" as I had an intention to purchase it on condition that another forum member buy my incorrect one. It was a race against time that I lost. It's the correct one for your car and it's going on a Packard and that's what matters. Enjoy and Happy Packarding.

clipper47, the fuel pump heat shield for the 356s is different than those that have been shown. I will get a photo of mine to you. Yes, I need a carburetor heat shield. Is it still available? As I mentioned earlier, I am not at home now but will be back later this week.

JW, I fitted the heat shield I bought and it will certainly be adequate for the purpose if not correct to the engine. Unless another correct one shows up at a reasonable price I will just keep this one. I made a "L" bracket and it is secure. I have the carb shield if you want it. It will need cleaning and painting. Send me a PM and we can discuss price but I am sure you will be pleased.
