Thank you both for your comments. I already contacted Sierra Grove Packards and they offered to check if they have enough parts for their kits and maybe sell me one. I hope they do.
On the transmission, I am a die hard fan of originality, or trying to restore a car and get back as close to original as possible. In this particular case, the car already had the Chrysler transmission when I got it. It shifts well and works fine when not at speed. When under acceleration at speed, lets say around 50 mph, it vibrates a lot. It is not good news to hear that it is a typical problem of the conversion. I will anyhow look at some things to try to improve the situation... as I know I will have to live with this transmission for a while.
Looks are a personal thing, and the Caribbean hood was a great way to differentiate the Caribbean from the other senior models. Still I believe the senior 56 Packards had the most beautiful hood ornament in the industry, sharper than Cadillac or Lincoln and better looking than the 55 senior hood ornament.
