It might be the format you used when searching as to why no results. Try using the format 760-15. It is an old size designation not used here for 40 years so finding a modern tire with the old size needs converting with some of the charts which can convert to modern nomenclature and sizes. Here is oneclubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/chevylist/tech/tire_size_conversion.htm

Ah, now i understand. you guys are just fantastic at helping beginners like me. Is there any videos of people restoring super eight convertibles ?

Are the radio valves easy to obtain ? are there new reproduction ones?

Also, does everyone use only hub caps for super eights? or can you get nice wire wheels?

You keep mentioning Pontiac. Are you working on a Pontiac or a Packard? Just curious.

Sorry about that. Now put right. Before i decided to restore a project Packard, i was going to do a Pontiac Chieftian. After more investication, and looking at all the old pictures, i just loved the look of the Packard convertible. First i was going to try and get a 1942 convertible, but with some kind advise, i decided on a super Eight Convertible. . When writing i sometimes make mistake, and right the wrong one down. Just tired i guess.

Never done anything like this before, and a project does sound scary, and interesting also. I will give myself 5-6 years to get it looking nice and in great condition. Things like tubes for radio sound hard to get, but most other things seem not so hard. This forum has been great in helping me and advising me. I will be in the deep end, so you can expect many more questions. I would like to show everyone the start of project and finish. This will start next year and look forward to it so much. The seats sound differcult also, have not got no ideas on how to make them look new? Do you guys get them made up proffessionaly?
