Thanks for the clarification! Just ordered a set.

HH56,

I replaced the hot spot gasket on my manifolds when i had them apart. There was a gasket in there, and i assumed from all the build up that it was original. No leaks there.

The picture shows metal on one side but i got a total fiber kit (including the exhaust ring.)

I called them up and they said they have metal impregnated ones, and he's looking to see if they have any more of the metal faced ones in stock and then calling back.

So heads up, be clear what you're ordering, because they'll sub whatever they have in stock if you don't specify.

Ok, I just called and spoke to my contact at PI. The problem is there is some confusion at the PI Head office on what they are no longer selling directly from the head office.

The So Calif Chapter is still selling these directly and had several hundred pairs in stock. They are available for the 356 motors, and also the 288/327/359 motors. The also sell other quality parts like battery trays and hold downs, floor mats, water necks, and they also get a really good discount on Steele Rubber parts.

Please contact Gary Osko, who is in charge of the projects for the So Calif region and he will get you what you need.

He can be reached at: 951-212-3659 or gosko (AT) hotmail (DOT) com

The old standby for gaskets, especially for prewar and back into the teens and if your want NOS or NORS, is Al Lambert at Gasket City. 1-888-335-4686 (Hamilton, Ontario).
