I just had one adapted the fitting is brazed in to the 54 pan. Melt the brazed on fitting off of the 1954 pan, locate and punch a hole in the side of the 53 pan and install the fitting. The rod assembly gearshift bellcrank to transmission lever 3.3258 has to be bent a little to clear the tube to engage park and you have to readjust the length with the turnbuckle 3.3278
