Those street rods are junk. They aren't any more roadworthy than an original car. I passed one the other day in my modern car. He was doing 55-60 mph and hanging on for life. If I was an insurance company I wouldn't sell those knuckleheads life insurance.

The rodders are really going after the step-down Hudsons too, and the National club is encouraging it. I don't get it.

Tim, I have a 1948 Packard all original with 16 thousand original miles. It has been checked and needed repairs made and service work done by a professional mechanic. Do you feel this car is not road worthy.?

I really like that '47. It looks to be in great shape, great color, great interior. What a steal at $10 grand!!!
