Here's another takeaway from the building info.

Adding space at EGB leased to Briggs (178,000sqft), with space Packard used to make and assemble front clips, trim lines, seat and instrument panel assembly, frame production and final assembly, I get 430,000+ sqft, which was presumably all moved to Conner when final assembly was moved. And I'm not even counting space at EGB used for body and front clip storage as Conner probably also had space allocated for body storage.

If I make the assumption that Briggs was leasing space at EGB because they didn't have enough room for that work at Conner, then Packard crammed that work into Conner, as well as the related work that Packard did itself at EGB, no wonder they had problems.
