I’m not sure if this has been mentioned but there was a late ‘20s or early ‘30s Packard in an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine when a couple on the crew went briefly to ‘30s San Francisco. Not the greatest of photos as Netflix blocks screen captures so I had to take them with the phone of the screen.
It was nighttime but the two people are Nana Visitor and Colm Meany. There was never enough shown to tell the color or body style and the photos below are in reverse order of the way it appeared with the grille photo being first.. Not exactly TV or a movie but this seemed too odd to post on its own too so here it is! I got an email today from Ancestry.com and this was the image in it:

Here are a few shots from the film noir The Mob - 1951.
What I find interesting reference in these things is the zippy performance and bright lights of those cars when they were still young. Especially those Ford V-8s. If you watch the film you also can pick up the six volt starter, plain radiator cap, and side mount covers on that 37 V-12. Here is another film noir (Backlash - 1947) with a 39 Su8 and a 35 Eight. Looks like props set fire to the 35 then towed it to a hill and rolled it.

Here is another one from the movie "Greased Lightning". This flick takes a lot of issue with language and the CSA flag, but not as raw as "In the Heat of the Night". The actual subject didn't look much like a minority at all, but a lot of American politics is about rich people getting gullible people to do their dirty work for them. And the more they get ripped off the more they seem to like it.

In 1953, my sister had a walk-on part in The Caine Mutiny (little girl in blue dress) towards the end. Filmed in San Francisco. Also at the end just before the trial, a 1940 Packard is parked out front.

Here are a few from "Born Reckless" 1937.
Notice the lack of spare tire covers on the brand new Packard Su8. If you watch the film you can hear the instantaneous starting of the motor.
