It sure has been a quick minute since my last post. Had to put the project on hold for Winter. But now, sunny skies are here again.
I'm looking at continuing the work on the brakes and fuel system Don - you mentioned classic tube has the entire brake system. Their system only shows the 400 and patrician. Is the 400 brake system the same? The employee I spoke with said that one runs about $295 for the stainless. I also asked about fuel line and they just had the Caribbean fuel rail to the pump. Would that work?

The Clipper Custom is 122" wheelbase, while the 400 and Caribbean are 127". I don't know how much that affects the length of the brake and fuel lines, but I imagine it does.
For the brake lines, I think that other 122" cars would have identical brake lines from 1951-1956. But I'm not positive on that. They didn't have anything for 122" when you called them? -Kevin

Aside from the different length of the rear supply line for the wheelbase difference, 55-6 have a different front line layout than 51-4. The 55-6 front lines have a junction block on the frame rail by the left wheel to supply the right front side line while the 51-4 junctions at the masters. Power brakes are similar in location but the line routes are different. Manual masters are located in different spots. 55-6 manual is near the center of the car while the 51-4 manual master is near the steering box

Kevin, I must admit, I didn't think to ask by wheelbase. I know Don mentioned earlier in this thread Classic Tube has a complete or partial kit, but did say they have not updated their catalog to show it. I'm sure they carry it, if he's bought it, but was just wondering if it was being carried under another Packard line, or the kit for the senior cars maybe fit?. They did of course offer to recreate any line I sent them. I also noticed a listing on eBay for a complete brake line kit from "Inline Tube" but I'm always wary of eBay sellers unless someone tells me they've bought from them and their listing is accurate.

The parts book available here on this site is your friend for knowing what fits which model but for the pump to filter line, Classic Tube has it for both 2-brl and 4-brl single carburetor models in addition to the set for the dual 4-brl Caribbean models but those are for 1956 and I don’t recall what I discovered for 1955. You’ll have to check the parts book as I seem to recall that it was different. However, if they have the full kit for 1955 and list it for a single 4-brl model, the under hood pieces should fit your car too.

How about the full brake kit? Would it be under the '56 model year? They claimed to not have anything for a '55 Clipper. Or do I just mention the wheelbase like Kevin suggested? I believe my goal is to replace all brake lines, as the current condition is unsafe. I can worry about fuel lines for another time.

That’s where the parts book comes in handy. Just locate the pieces and compare models. I wouldn’t bother mentioning wheelbase to them as they do not track that type of information and are not knowledgeable on makes and models. when they reproduce parts and save the template, it is done based on the customer’s specific car so unless we tell them what else it fits they do not now. Better to simply look up the parts to see what in interchangeable and if Patrician uses the same pat number, then you’re good to go!

Don,
My apologies - I am a bit dense at times but now I understand what you were saying based on what Kevin provided. Checking part numbers between trim lines to see what interchanges, got it now! And Kevin, Thank you for pasting that here - now I see the situation better. So I guess you are correct, time to bend and flare. But first, a good flare kit. I've wanted to buy one for a while anyways, guess I have my excuse now. Do you have one you recently bought and recommend? I'll be sure to post any pictures of progress (or lack there of) and all my failures in detail
