Great job and so easy to read and find things now! This is a most impressive bit of OCRing.

Having worked as parts man for many years, I'm quick enough with a paper catalog in my hands, but I have to say this is faster than browsing through the PDF files. I especially like that when you get to a specific part number, this online feature provides an interchange with other years and models from other catalogs (where available).

Guys, please take note of the error in the Rochester carburetor number for the 5560 & 5580.

Thank you. I'll make note of it for when I get that far on the proofing. I'm mid group 18 in the 1948-1954 book at the moment.

Just came across quite a few in 18 with nonsense descriptions, (called Notes here in Kev's design) that were truncated in the printed volume. I tried to sort them out but will need someone to go ever them later to see if it makes sense now. Should be online in a few days depending on Kev's schedule. I sent him the proofed versions up to group 18 a little while ago.

Proofed Groups 15-18 (48-54) have been imported/updated.

The 1935-1941 Parts List is online with its respective Part Plates.

A word of caution, because of the way this book is printed:

-Two Columns
-Small Font
-Font Typeface
-Note and Application data blended together into a single field

It made it very difficult for the OCR extract to parse the information into structured data cleanly. So the Part entries may contain the following issues:

-Missing or truncated Application or Notes information (#1 issue)
-3's may be seen as 5's and 5's may be seen as 3's in some instances (this is because of how similar those font letters appear to the OCR engine)

So please, if it is critical, double check against the actual Parts List.

Hopefully, once I can have folks help proof the data and correct it, then it won't be an issue. But for now, just realize this a rough data dump (draft) at this point.

If you want to help proofread and correct it, please let me know. Please be aware that this is a tedious, time-consuming endeavor before raising your hand. If we get a few people that want to help, we can give people different Groups to work through.

For those that want to help out, I would send them an excel file, representing the unproofed data for one or more groups for correction. Then once that has been proofed/corrected, I would reimport the data. With nearly 20,000 part entries in the 35-41 Parts list, trying to fix them onesie-twosie would drive me over the edge.

If you'll send me the data, I am happy to add it to the queue!
