If you look directly under the green knob on that wretched battery cutoff switch, you'll see where a 1/2" piece of steel band was added to the hold-down bracket so it will secure a slightly shorter battery (see the difference at the bottom right where the battery nests in the tray). Otherwise no changes. The battery does sit on a thin rubber pad in the bottom of the tray which is probably a good idea, might help-can't hurt.
You'll see Exide calls it a Grp 64-60 indicating it's their replacement for the Grp 60. You might also note some extra heavy black insulation wrapped on the positive cable where it meets the lead terminal. I probably should replace the cable but you'll note how close the cable is to the holddown bracket and should they ever touch you're in for a colossal display of trouble.

OD,
Thanks for the pictures. Nice work. Is it tack welded, or just wrapped around? Nice cut around the battery terminal too. That looks really close.

Thanks for the nice words. The cut around the battery terminal is not critical as it's the ground terminal anyway; it was more for fit and asthetics.
The extra band was crimped and then silver-soldered.
