Ad doesn't say whether the trans is auto or manual. I think, and others can correct me if I'm wrong, that most 359's probably were auto's so there's every chance it would be a bolt in. As to cost, besides the engine itself, the ad says the trans is rebuilt as well as all the engine bolt on parts which I'd take to be starter, generator, distributor, fuel pump, water pump and carburettor. a fair few dollars in that lot alone. I'd consider the price mentioned as the seller's starting point and negotiate.

Thanks Mal, for help. Will decide when Ross returns and gives me some feedback about engine. I did not know all 359's were Automatic.
Were the Automatics good for it's year?
