This recent The Old Motor article on a modern Cities Service gas station in Portland, Maine in the 1930's includes two Packards, a '36-'37 120 sedan and a '32 Light Eight 900 convertible coupe. Parked on the street, the first car was a '26-'27 Cadillac 314 Series, the car behind '32 Light Eight was a '31 DeVaux.

A boat launch, unknown location, the late 1950's: one fellow traveled in style, note the medium-blue Custom Eight 22nd Series seven passenger sedan/limousine as his boat tow car.
From one of the most expensive cars during 1948-'50, the NADA Used Car Guide for Region A (eastern U.S.) for July 1957 list any 1948-'49 Custom Eight at $130 retail. Steve Attach file: (47.22 KB)

Here is a recent The Old Motor article that will really make one hope the way-back time machine get perfected soon.
The images are of Prospect Motors, Ford used car lot on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, NYC, April 25,1941: theoldmotor.com/?p=176016 For that seven year old 1934 Packard Eight coupe roadster to be displayed on the front line, it must have been in usually good condition. Flanking it to the left is a 1939 Mercury, to the right are Fords, 1939 Standard, a 1939 Deluxe convertible coupe and a 1938 Standard. For 1938-1940 Ford offered the Standard models which utilized the previous model year's front sheet metal for a lower price. The 1936 120 sedan is one of the few cars with white wall tires, must also have been a well-kept five year old car. Ford dealers might have viewed displaying Packards prominently on the front line was a good customer draw. Steve

Walla Walla Used Cars had a 22nd Packard along with a number of 1949-'51 Lincolns, Mercurys, Hudsons, Nashes, etc. The backlot line of cheap pre-war cars was typical. These photos came from The Old Motor feature.
