I also notice that her car has the rather rare Tach option.

The Packard was for sale on ebay, some few months ago. I don't recall the price but I do remember her posing with the car. Hard to forget. The tach option was pointed out, too. I do not know if it sold or just when the ad ran. She is quite famous in the world of current burlesque.

Mal, thanks. It might be of certain interest to know, that this old auction, which ended in May 17, 2013, remained as a story in a blog, which is published on ebay. As Gerry (GTO) already mentioned:

"...It has a VERY RARE original factory Tachometer installed where the clock would be..." [ebay]

Last but not least a relevant information: the auction culminated after 88 bids with a winning bid of US $30,633.00.

Harold Clayton Lloyd, Sr. (April 20, 1893 - March 8, 1971), already mentioned in PackardInfo threads and the photo archive

- Driving around New York in 1928
- 1928 New York cab film with celebrity customer..any Packards?
- packards in tv and movies
- 1935 Packard sedan and owner film star Harold Lloyd

"...was an American actor, comedian, filmmaker, screenwriter, and stunt performer who is most famous for his silent comedy films ... His films frequently contained "thrill sequences" of extended chase scenes and daredevil physical feats, for which he is best remembered today. Lloyd hanging from the hands of a clock high above the street in Safety Last! (1923) is one of the most enduring images in all of cinema..."

<iframe width="500" height="375" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VFBYJNAapyk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

"...Lloyd did many of these dangerous stunts himself, despite having injured himself in August 1919 while doing publicity pictures for the Roach studio. An accident with a bomb mistaken as a prop..." [wikipedia]

Sorry, no pictures off the screen but Ingmar Berman's "Smultronst?llet" (Wild Strawberries) was on TCM last night, it is considered to be one of his masterpieces. B&W, in Swedish with American subtitles. A 1937 Packard 7-pass was featured extensively throughout the film on a drive from Stockholm to Lund as Victor Sj?str?m (as Professor Isak Borg) revisits his past and contemplates life. Couldn't tell if it was a Super Eight or a Twelve.
