I drove the '37 today and the throttle appears linkage to be good. It for sure doesn't like coming off the "choke" too early. It prefers to be fully warmed up, or have the choke on.

I forgot to post this the other day. The outside irons lined up perfectly with the bumper holes when installing my front bumper. But the inside irons were a bit splayed. When working by yourself, I found that a heavy-duty woodworking clamp helps to muscle and hold parts in position until you can get a fastener in place.

Excellent idea Kev.
I found a similar issue, I did not have clamps like that so I simply left the irons very loose on the frame horns and first tightened the bumper bolts followed by the tightening of the brackets on the frame horns.

This is the grille I pulled out of Nashville on the last part hunt down there. Infinitely in better condition than the one currently on the car.

But it looked dull and had what I thought we pits on the bars.

Here is the grille half done and a close-up of what I was seeing on the bars.

And here is another pic after the entire thing with cleaned with Mag Wheel polish and 000 steel wool.

A huge difference!

The only wrong with this grille is that it is missing that twisted middle bar horizontal support on one side.

It probably does have tiny pits or "pores" in the plating. Instead of spreading under the plating, the corrosion products have spread out on top of it. It sure shines up nice.

Some kind of clear wax would probably help keep it looking good. My dashboard chrome has "freckles". I haven't tried polishing any of it yet. I hope it shines up as nice as that grille.

A coat of wax is a great idea. I still need to replace that middle twisted support.

I won't install this grille till the winter comes as you pretty much have to take the entire front clip off to replace the grille.

So, I finally took some time to “flip through” your entire blog. Mostly scanning, but stopped at a lot of places where I will have the same things to do.

Your blog has been VERY inspiring. I’m new to all of this, but am convinced that I can tackle a lot more myself than I originally thought.

If I’d been thinking, I would taken some notes to make an index of your blog so I can find things easier later on.
