While working on a 50 Chevy 216 this morning, I needed the specs on the rod bearings. A friend suggested this website:

This is a general topic site, mostly for the Big 3 cars, with nothing particular to Packards. But it does have a nice collection of topics such as casting new taillight lenses, general tuneup questions etc. It could be an interesting tool in your arsenal for keeping the old cars on the road. And if you have one of the Brand X cars, it probably has the specs on them.
