More progress on things different on the Panther Project.

Panther will have a 4-speed (BW T-10) and shifter on-the-floor setup donated by my friend Paul in Las Vegas.

I already have the manual trans flywheel, bell housing and throw out arm for a V-8 Packard. I have decided to use a hydraulic clutch setup which are pretty common on trucks and restomods, customs & hot rods.

After some preliminary measurements, I bought a Wilwood clutch pedal and corresponding MC from Summit Racing. So the challenge was how to fit it. As a guide, I followed what my friend Paul did on his 1956 Exec even though he used pneumatic actuation not hydraulic, but the idea is about the same. Once I measured and figured out where the access hole for the Wilwood clutch pedal assembly and MC needed to be, I cut the hole as shown.

I used steel flat stock with prepunched holes (Home Depot) to cut and form the L-brackets to hold the Wilwood clutch pedal frame and MC in position as shown:

NOTE: The brake pedal pivot point has to be relocated above the new MC and the arm extended and modified to get the right clearance and leverage. That will be the topic of a subsequent thread.
