On the underside of a 1955 400 in Canada, under the original hood pad, was found this lettering. Has anyone seen anything like it before?

I found lots of little notations under various things on my car, all in yellow like a grease pencil I guess. No clue what they meant at the time.

After drilling off a skin under an aircraft wing once I found parts of a letter from a worker who had apparently broken up with his girl. Too bad she never got to read it, I think he'd have had a real chance. :o)
