While I wait for a OD unit, I need to collect the parts needed for a clutch replacement. I would normally purchase a disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Is that the same process for this model? Should I replace any engine or transmission seals while in this process? Thanks in advance.

Steve

There is no seal in the front of the trans, there's a reverse spiral on the input shaft that brings any leakage back in. The rear eng crank seal is independent of the trans. You may want to buy a throwout brg spring (tiny) as it sometimes gets overstretched when removing. Otherwise it's the same as any other car

Thanks for that information. Is the rear engine seal something that can be replaced during a clutch change?

Steve, the rear main bearing seal is accessed via the oil pan, not the clutch housing.

Good advice from previous posts. Don't forget to check the condition of the pilot bearing. JWL
